This area of our website is dedicated purely to great walking and cycling routes all over Great Britain and we’ve got more than 1147 routes covering over 12439 miles for you to choose from. We’ve made it easy for you to find them as they are all here in one place, The Anquet Routes Database.

You’ll find routes from the spectacular mountains of the Cairngorms, through the glorious Lake District and Yorkshire Dales down to the New Forest, South Downs and beyond. All these routes are here for you, free of charge, to download into Anquet and go out and enjoy.

We also have our Featured Routes Section just for Anquet users, containing exclusive routes from our associates including Trail and Country Walking magazines. So whether your looking for a gentle stroll round Lake Windermere or a charge up Ben Nevis you’ll find it right here.

		We currently have 3 collections of featured routes.




				Route Chooser Route Each month TRAIL magazine has a Route Chooser feature for a popular mountain in Great Britain. This section features a selection of routes on the mountain with accompanying information and illustrations.



				Footsteps Route Historical walks and points of intrest from Living History magazine.



				Country Walking Every month Country Walking is packed with great walks and fabulous photography from the UK’s best walking destinations. The main Feature Walks are great trails in amazing locations, and include great practical information, such as where to stay, the best places to eat, and the finest pubs in the area.

		Route Search Filters

		You can choose to add some filters to the results of your route search. The folowing options will filter out routes that do not match your search criteria.




			Route Length Minimum Restrict your search to only routes that are at least this long in miles. If you leave this box blank, no minimum is set.



			Route Length Maximum Restrict your search to only routes that are shorter than this length in miles. If you leave this box blank, no maximum is set.



			Ascent Minimum Restrict your search to only routes that have at least this minimum ascent in metres. If you leave this box blank, no minimum is set.



			Ascent Maximum Restrict your search to only routes that have less than this ascent in metres. If you leave this box blank, no maximum is set.
