Tools

Here you will find a selection of tools and utilities to support your installation of Anquet. For most situations where you are installing on a modern PC or device and are using the latest release of Anquet v06 these are not required and can be ignored.

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

To use Anquet Maps v06 you will need to make sure you have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your PC. The best way to get this is by going to the windows update page. Alternatively it can be downloaded here. If you are using Windows XP Pro 64Bit edition please download the frame work from here.

Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0

To use Anquet Maps on a PocketPC you will need to make sure you have the .Net Compact Framework 2.0 installed on your PPC. To download the latest version of the .Net Compact Framework visit this Microsoft page.

ActiveSync

To use Anquet Maps on a PocketPC you will need have a recent version of ActiveSync from Microsoft installed on your PC. To download version 4.2 of ActiveSync visit this Microsoft page.

Windows Installer Version 3.0

Anquet Maps requires the Microsoft Windows Installer version 3.0 or above. If you have installed an Anquet product, this should have been updated during installation if necessary. Windows 2000 and XP users should visit this page: Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1.

DirectX

To use the Virtual Landscape feature you will need to make sure you have a DirectX 9 compatible video card and at least DirectX 9 installed on your PC. To download the latest version of the DirectX visit Windows Update. You may also need to update to the latest drivers for you video card. If these are not available from the above link please visit your manufacturers website.

Map Manager (for Anquet Maps v01 only)

Route File Converter (for Anquet Maps v01 only)

Description : This is a command line program that can convert from the human readable business variation of the AEF (Anquet export file format) to the native ARF (Anquet Route File) format. Its primary purpose is as a stage in converting a database of route files to the native Anquet file format. This program is intended for business use. For use with the original Anquet v01 maps software only. Not compatible with v06 software or maps.

Description : There are some situations where installing older green (boxed products), installing version 1.2.9 or later and then uninstalling the older product can leave Anquet Maps believing that the old product is still installed. This will cause the ‘You have a product that needs to be unlocked’ message box to appear when you start Anquet Maps. The Uninstall Tool can be used to force Anquet Maps to think that older (green boxed) products are uninstalled.

GB South Patch (for Anquet Maps v01 only)

Description : The first edition version of Great Britain South included a 20km x 20km Tile of incorrect data. The problem was in the tile with corners: SP 000 200 to SP 200 400. This tile had no contours on it! We were allowed by the Ordnance Survey to release a patch tile that fixes this problem. You will need to be running version 1.1.12 or later of Anquet Maps to use this fix. You do not need to download this file if contours appear on the 1:50,000 scale mapping at the gird locations above.

User Path Utility (for Anquet Maps v01 only)
