Easily Find Places by Grid Reference or Place Name

You can find locations by grid reference or by searching the name index, and then simply click the GOTO button to instantly view the map on screen.

Intuitively work with the map – scroll and zoom

Once at a new location, you can easily move the map by dragging it with the mouse, zoom in and out, or change map type on the toolbar.

Plan a Route by Simply Drawing on the Map

Plotting a route in Anquet is simple, just right click to start a route, then click where you wish to have each waypoint, and then to finish simply right click again. Editing the route is also just as simple, simply select a waypoint and drag it to a new location.

View Route Information such as length and ascent

With your route created you can now view information about that route, such as length, height ascended, and your estimated time. These can be displayed in imperial or metric units.

View the Route Profile

To view the route profile, simply click on the toolbar button. As you move the mouse across the profile, your position on the route is indicated by the moving red dot allowing you to better assess your route.

Print your own personal maps

Print your maps exactly to scale to match the paper maps that you know so well.  Or alternatively, choose a scale that suits you, for instance printing at a larger zoom level to make the maps larger and easier to read in bad conditions.

Anquet can even calculate the pages that are required to cover the route you wish to print. You can adjust the settings, or simply press the print button and let Anquet do the rest.

Synchronized Screens

With Anquet you can have two map windows open at one time, allowing you to view say a topographical map of an area at the same time as you are looking at say aerial photography. 

View the maps in 3D in the Virtual Landscape

The Anquet Virtual Landscape allows you to enter the 3D world of mapping and literally fly through the landscape. You can either choose to fly yourself using the easy controls, or just set Anquet to fly along your chosen route, allowing you to take in the scenery.

Produce your own Route Cards

Simply click the Route Card button on the toolbar to see a fully filled out route card for your trip.  There are numerous different styles of route card that you can choose from.

Annotate your Route

With your route entered into Anquet, you can easily add more information to it, such as textual notes.  You can also attach files to waypoints, making Anquet an excellent tool to catalogue the photos of your trip.

Designed to work with Outdoors GPS units

Anquet was designed to work with outdoors GPS units. Anquet allows you to safely and accurately send routes and waypoints to your GPS unit at the click of a mouse.

When you return from an outing, you can just as easily load your tracklog back from your GPS unit into Anquet to see where you have been.

Pocket Anquet lets you take Anquet out with you

Pocket Anquet works on any Microsoft powered Pocket PC or Smartphone. With many of these devices now having a built in GPS unit, this really is a powerful combination, allowing you to take Anquet, your maps and routes out with you. LiveTrack will show you where you are in realtime on the map, whilst the Anquet Virtual GPS will give you the functionality normally only found on a dedicated GPS unit such as compass and navigation tools.
