Pocket PC

A Pocket PC officially referred to a Microsoft operating system used on pocket computers. However, the term became synonymous with the units themselves. A Pocket PC is therefore a pocket computer that runs the Microsoft Pocket PC operating system.

The Pocket PC operating system builds on the strengths of the Windows PC operating system, and therefore users quickly become at home with it, as it has such items as the start menu and Pocket Outlook.

Anquet’s Pocket Anquet is designed to run on Pockets PC’s.

However, more recently Microsoft has converged all of its mobile operating systems into ‘Windows Mobile’.
