Digital Map
Digital Map refers to a map that is kept in a format that a computer can read.
In Anquet terms, most of our digital maps actually started life as a paper map
equivalent, but were then made available electronically. Maps such as our
Ordnance Survey Explorer and Landranger maps fall into this category. We also
have maps that are purely in a digital format, having been captured in this way,
and then used primarily within mapping software. Our aerial photography digital
map is of this type.
